Change is certain.
All things are born, grow, decay and depart according to it’s own time regulate by nature.

The pumpkins were carved and transformed into flowers - another kind of beauty that would not happen by nature. But the man-made beauty shrunk the pumpkin’s life.
Instead of growing ripe, the carving of the first petal triggers decomposition.

December 15, 2009 the Pumpkin Project stared at Jim Thompson Farm under the art event "The Farm Story"

On the first afternoon, 4 Volunteers were trained to do the Thai traditional carving.

And on the very next morning we all started to carve the pupkins.

For full 4 days. We slowly turned pumpkin into flowers.
